Safety Netting
Collective fall arrest minimises distance and consequences of a fall. Our safety netting is installed to be compliant to FASET Standards, BS 8411:2019 & BSEN1263-1 & 2.
Edge Protection
Specifically designed to help prevent falls whilst providing a handhold support. Our edge protection is designed and tested to Classes A, B & C compliant with BSEN 13374:2013+A1:2018.
Tensioned Access Platforms
Recognised by the HSE as an acceptable method for access where working at height cannot be avoided. Our tensioned access platforms are installed to FASET standards, a great cost effective alternative to crash deck scaffolding.

Creating Low-Risk Environments Through Smart Fall Protection Design
At Nationwide Safety, our approach goes beyond compliance - we help you design out risk wherever possible. That starts by evaluating each project's specific demands and introducing layered safety systems tailored to your environment.
Using collective protection methods such as safety netting, guardrails, and temporary edge protection, we reduce reliance on personal protective equipment and help clients maintain low-risk status on site. These solutions are fast to deploy, cost-effective, and fully compliant with BS and FASET guidelines.
Every solution is appropriately planned and designed to match your real-world conditions. For tasks of short duration, for example, we may recommend mobile towers or tensioned platforms, whereas long-term builds may benefit from integrated scaffold structures.

Understanding Height Regulations and Legal Responsibilities
Working at height is one of the most hazardous activities across UK industries, with strict regulations to prevent personal injury and major injuries on site. The Work at Height Regulations 2005 mandate that all work at height is properly planned, supervised, and carried out by a competent person using suitable equipment.
It's essential to consider both the nature of the work and the environment. Safety must always be the priority, whether using portable leaning ladders, working platforms, or accessing fragile surfaces. Employers are legally obligated to assess all risks and eliminate them where possible through design or engineering controls.
Understanding and applying these legal requirements is the foundation for reducing accidents and building a responsible safety culture.
Conducting a formal risk assessment for any activity at height.
Ensuring work equipment is properly inspected and maintained.
Selecting the correct access equipment for the task at hand.
Mitigating the risk of falling objects through physical barriers or safety netting.
Installing a suitable anchor point for systems involving a flexible safety line.
Training and equipping appropriately trained workers for each specific role.
Reducing the distance liable in case of a fall through the right fall protection systems.
Avoiding strenuous or heavy tasks at height when a safer method is available.
Risk Management Starts with the Right System
Fall risks don't always come from height alone - they come from complexity. Our engineered systems adapt to those challenges where multiple trades are involved, where materials need hoisting, or where equipment or materials workers interact with are unstable.
We help minimise working at heights where possible and, where unavoidable, ensure workers are using the safety harness correctly, connected to a suitable anchor point, and that their systems are properly inspected daily.
Smarter Access = Safer Outcomes
Providing safe and efficient access to elevated areas is about more than just equipment - it's about using the correct access equipment for every task. Whether we recommend access towers, rope access, or stair structures, each is chosen for its suitability to the site and the workers using it.
Using the wrong access system can increase the chance of workers falling or damaging materials. Our expertise ensures no shortcuts are taken.
A Team That Understands the Work
Our strength lies in understanding both regulations and the realities of construction, maintenance, and industrial worksites. All our systems are installed by fully qualified teams who not only follow procedure but know how to adapt when conditions change.
We actively support clients in equipping appropriately trained workers, offering guidance, training, and site-specific instructions to ensure maximum safety performance from every team on site.

Which Industries Need Working at Height Safety Equipment?
Working at height isn't limited to just construction - many industries rely on secure elevated access. We design and install working at height safety equipment across a wide range of sectors.

Construction & Roofing
This is where fall protection is most critical. We work with principal contractors and subcontractors to deliver compliant, cost-effective systems that prevent workers falling from steel frames, roofs, and scaffolds.

Logistics & Warehousing
From racking access to lighting repairs, safe access solutions and ladder safety play a key role in warehouses. We install mobile towers, netting, and platforms to help your teams operate with minimal downtime.

Industrial Maintenance
Plants and factories require regular maintenance on high-mounted infrastructure. Our systems allow your team to complete strenuous or heavy tasks safely with appropriate work equipment and fixed working platforms.

Telecoms & Utilities
Height is built into the job in this sector. Our rope access, anchor systems, and fall arrest lines are ideal for pole and tower work, ensuring minimal distance liable and maximum compliance.

Facilities Management
Hospitals, schools, and retail sites all require elevated access for HVAC, roofing, and lighting work. We ensure the use of low-risk, fast-deploy access options for short-duration tasks while meeting all health and safety standards.
